Amanita Muscaria - Fairy tale mushroom

Amanita Muscaria - Fairy tale mushroom
Not sure whether I identified it right, noticed these on the road side. They were pretty big. And ugly in a way. And not edible.

The bokeh is wonderful. I wonder how F 1.2 would be :-)

Still uploading from archive.
No sightings this year, all though I am hopeful of few good safaris next month as we prepare for a hot summer as usual.

A beautiful Kingfisher, perched on a branch.
I loved the way it moved its head, up and down. Should have gone for a video instead.

I took this picture last year, 31st Dec to be precise :D
While I was getting ready for work, I heard squeaking of this bird. I rushed to the roof top to see for myself what the commotion was for only to witness this chap with a prey.
Moments later, his partner joined in, but I could not take their picture together.
I have seen female Shikra, picking up snails every now & then during Monsoon and also seen a kill. But this is the first time I saw and heard them communicating.
Its pretty amazing to see these fine birds adapting quite quickly to urban areas.
